I like the fudgey brownie bar from Trim Advantage it has 22g of protein and satifies the chocolate craving. 260 cal, 10fat, 25carbs, 1fiber, 0sugar, 22protein i know its a lot of calories fat and carbs, but it's great meal replacement and is loaded with protein, but if you cut it in half, it's the same as your south beach bars. I also like Trim Advantage Peanut Protein bar 150 cal, 3g fate, 24carbs, 2sugars, 6fiber, 13protein I am a distributer for these products so you can touch base with me if you're interested

I know this is not news to anyone, but I wanted to share how happy I am now that I found this source of protein. I have trouble getting enough protein because since my surgery I cannot eat any meat poultry or fish (except for cold peel and eat shrimp or raw clams). I wasn't able to do protein supplements because they made me sick but when I saw my dr at my year check up and learned I am anemic and need to get no less than 60g of protein a day (i was only getting an average of 20-30g a day) and did not have any weight loss in 3 months, I jumped on the bandwagon. I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and found these 3.1 ounce protein drinks that have 42g of protein in them. I can't do them all at once so I do it in thirds and chase it down with some water. You can mix it in a drink, but I'd prefer to just chug it and get it over with. It is really really sweet, and tastes a bit like children's cough medicine, but I can tolerate it and I am getting half of my daily protein from it. I bought a case of it and now I'm looking to find it online cheaper.

Topic: RE: Anyone 1 year out and not losing weight
wow, you've lost half your body weight, that's great. i've lost half my excess body weight and while that's great, i still have a long way to go. my doctor said that there are so many factors that go into who loses how much how fast. i did learn that i am anemic and my doctor says that my salt and ice cravings are called "pica" which is related to my iron deficiency. i did find out about whey protein shots, they are not too expensive and each dose is 42g of protein. I chug 1/3 in the morning, then again in the afternoon and finish up again at night. i also got some protein bars that have 22g of protein, so between these and cottege cheese, cheese sticks and fat free refried beans, i'm getting about 80g of protein a day as of 7/30 which is about 60g more than before the 30th. my doctor prescribed repliva 21/7 to help with my iron and i am being more aware of what i am eating/not eating. i hope to see some results in the next few weeks, so i'll keep everyone posted. thanks so much to everyone for their feedback and support!

Thanks, Got some a couple days ago. My DH is enjoying is missed "candy". I bought him the snack bars, chocolate coconut is his favorite. He can still have his mounds bar. He is adjusting well being on Glucophage, and his low sugar diet is helping both of us. His mother (who lives with us) is another thing all together. She is diabetic, went shopping with his sister, came home with no bake peanut butter cookes, m & M's (2 bags), 2 boxes of sugar covered cereal and ice cream. I breathe deep and remember that she is 85. Pam

I am a year out, and have kind of plateaued... I haven't lost/gained an ounce in the past month, but... I lost over half my body weight in that year... Doc's don't know why, but the "May not be typical results" should be plastered all over my rear end... From what my docs have all said, the body knows where the equilibrium is... I guess mine does! ;) Ceers!

I usually get mine at GNC. I buy it when they have it BOGO 1/2 off. Then I have enough for 4 months. I really hoping it is on the sale next month. I also have a gold membership that helps out.

Hi!! I get the Premier Nutrition bars from Costco..190 calories..6 total fat..21 carbs..14 sugars..and 15 protiens.. Much higher than yours on everything.. but I look for protiens first.. and TASTE.. these have NO chocolate in them.. Some of those that have chocolate get TOO CHOCOLATEY if you know what i mean? These are nougat, pretzel, carmel, peanuts, and vanilla coating.. TWISTED by name. They also curb the sweet tooth for me. Good luck. Alice
