Topic: RE: Seriously?
I have been experiancing a plateau of sorts as well, I didnt loose anything for 9 days, then lost 1.5 lbs, then no movement for about a week, then gained 1 lb, then lost it again.... so at almost the 3 week mark I decided I'd had enough..... I lost 3 lbs this weekend.
There are three known plateau breakers..
1) increase protein intake
2) change the intensity of your excersize routine
3) Increase you water intake.
This weekend I doubled my normal intake of water...when I would normally drink a bottle of water I would drink 2. I also drink green tea but was told recently that tea (and coffee) only count as water intake if they are decaf. So I only drink decaf. SF/FF jello also counts as water intake. I use a little timer....as soon as the last bite of food goes in my mouth I set the timer for an hour, when it beeps I start drinking. Drink 3 bottles of water, or one bottle two tea? Which ever you prefer. ( I use the timer because I was finding Id forget to drink, especially during the work day)
I also realized last week that my diet was pretty predictable and although I was enjoying it fine I think my body was getting used to it, so I have ventured back into the kitchen and eating more of what my family is eating....post op friendly of course.
The good news is, we all seem to be having similar issues right now, so we can chalk it up as being the "normal" part of the experiance. Fingers crossed we all loose more weight soon!!!
