Topic: REBOOT!
Well today is day one of my 5 day pouch test.
I have been loosing and gaining the same 5 lbs for a couple months now. I'm ready to break the cycle. I know I have been eating too many slider foods, mostly because I find it so difficult to eat solid protein. I havent eaten meat in months. Although I am getting enough protein. Time to rboot my tool and hopefully break the carb cycle I have been in.

Hi gang! It's been a long time since I've posted here but I figured I'd check it out and see what you guys are up to...
I had my resting metabolic rate (RMR) tested and it told me that I burn 1250 cals at rest. After you add in for regular daily activities and exercise I'm supposed to be eating between 1400-1700 cals a day to maintain. I don't want to lose anymore. Most days I'm between 1300-1400 but I still have my days where I drop below 1000. I've only had 2 or 3 days where I've gone over 1700 and I blame those on T.O.M. But I'm maintaining at 101 for several months now!!!!
As far as volume goes... I can usually eat 3-4 oz of dense protein and 8-10 oz of slider foods like yogurt or cottage cheese. So overall I guess 1 1/2 cups is my limit but I usually keep my meals at 1 cup or less otherwise I feel uncomfortable for a while.
My current favorite foods:
Cottage cheese pancakes - have these at least once a day
Fage yogurt with blueberries
Shirataki noodles (look up www.miraclenoodle.com if you're interested)
Scrambled egg beaters with ground turkey, cheese, salsa, and Fage
I have not let too many carbs back into my life because they make me feel like **** and they give me the most horrible smelling gas in the world. So - it's not worth it!
Oh and I'm scheduled for a lower body lift and breast aug on Wed 8/13 - wooohooo!

All in all, sounds like really good news. Tiredness sure could still be from last surgery. It really takes time to adjust. My doc suggested I take an extra B complex pill each day since the Bs don't accumulate but the extra B12 could help. Space them out but take the second one before 4 pm so it doesn't keep you awake at night.
How in the heck can ya go from obese to skinny and not have enough hanging skin to work on? Whoa baby, you've got good skin genes! I understand no tummy tuck (which involves muscles) not being necessary, but no skin tighthening - you are one awesome dude! I will NOT ask you to show me yours, cause no way I'm showing ANYONE mine!
Sad to say Ms Judi used up her vacation time...in EUROPE! And she didn't even think of asking us! [pout] Anyway you can tell from her avatar how amazing she looks. Since she's doing so well, we'll just have to plan a repeat event and give her some notice -- and it can't be between Jan 1 and April 15!

hey you! hope you are feeling better.
I'm not going to be able to make it and I really wish I could. Between our trip to Italy this summer and sending my in-laws to Ireland vs. having a 50th anniversary party for them we have no travel money left!
I was trying to talk my dh into it again last night but it is not going to happen. I really want to meet you guys so hope I get to one of these days. Have a blast!!

Hey Peeps!!!!
Just wanted to let you know I had my yearly check up yesterday.....
Everything went very well.......my vitamin D def. seems to be under control now
all the other labs came back great!
My protein is a little on the low side still it's supposed to be like 6.4 and it is 6.2 not a big deal but dr. said drink one more drink a day LOL...........
Talked to him about a tummy tuck.......GET THIS HE SAYS I DON'T NEED ONE?????????!!! WHAT????!!!! lol.........FLIPPED ME RIGHT OUT!!!????!!!! he says Crystal what tummy??? you have a little piece of skin there...........I can't do a tummy tuck on you.....(well i may just go see a plastic surgeon anyways)
I asked him how come I still feel so tired out ......he says......he really doesn't know because all my labs came back good.......he said could be i am not getting enough food,or might be because I am still recovering from my other surgery (i had a ovary and a very large cyst removed in may), or might just be my body is still playing catch up of the weight lost and all.or might be something do to with the kidney stone i am still carrying around............I am not really sure how i feel about all that,so i will just continue to follow my body and come home and take me nap.
I love that i had this surgery, i love the way i look,and overall i love the way i feel i have so much more energy but i do crash harder..............
I am so excited cause at the end of the month I am going to meet two maybe three of my girls from this board....Cleo and Jen, and maybe Judi ( i sooooo can't wait)
