I tried not wrapping once for my son and it was a bomb. Seemed like a good idea to me (less work), but he was done too fast! 3. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Stuffing with lots of sage and crunchy onions and celery 7. Favorite holiday memory as a child? We were the only grandchildren on both parents' sides of the family so everyone gathered at our house on Christmas Eve and Christmas day (both grandmothers and Mother's 2 brothers usually spent the night). It was SOOO much excitement to have the attention of our grands and aunts and uncles. 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I have no idea. 9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Never - I like concentrated excitement of opening everything at one time. 10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? White lights, some old family ornaments, glass Czech ornaments, and lots of handmade ornaments. 11. Snow, love it or hate it? Eh - take it or leave it - but I do LOVE cold weather! 12. Can you ice skate? Yep 13. Do you remember your favorite gift? A recurved bow from my fave uncle when I was about 8 14. What's the most important thing about the holidays for you? Friends and family enjoying each other. 15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? pumpkin pie - We only had it at Thanksgiving and Christmas - my mother was NOT a cook - and we drooled over them! 16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Since he was about 8 my son has given me a Teddy bear calendar and I always pretend to be completely surprised! 17. What tops your tree? Angel that my parents had on their very first Christmas tree. 18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? I appreciate everything I receive, but it's much more fun at this point in my life to find gifts for others. 19. What is your favorite Christmas song? I'll Be Home for Christmas and no one sang it better than Bing Crosby. I always tear up thinking of the military men and women who join their families at Christmas "...if only in their dreams". 20. Candy cane? Ick - tastes like toothpaste! 21. Favorite Christmas movie? Old ones - no cartoons or animated movies 22. What do you leave for Santa? never left anything for the old guy -- I figured all of you were taking care of him! 23. What would like for Christmas? For my son's father (my ex) to survive his current illness -- so sad for my newly married son to be fearing the worst for his dad. Sorry for the downer, but I'm really aching for my son.

i just posted on another message board that my dad always convinced me to leave santa beer and pretzels cause he was probably tired of all those cookies! We always left carrots or celery for the reindeer (dad must've liked veggies with his beer!) Happy Holidays All! judi
