Topic: thanksgiving dinner
I just wanted to share this with all of you......please don't flame me if you think my advice is wrong....just thought i would share you don't have to do this or agree.....
I went to my support group meeting the other night and we were discussing how we were going to deal with the holiday dinners coming up.
our group leader had a few suggestions......
use a smaller plate
use a teaspoon to put food items on our plate
take a teaspoon of everything that you might like to eat (just a teaspoon if it's something you're not really supposed to be eating)
always eat your protein first (even on thanksgiving)
don't drink a 1/2 hour before/after
and eat every bite slower to savor the flavor
she said if you felt like you were depriving yourself of something it will just make you want it the more.....

welcome to the we hate stalls club!
but if your body is still morphing it isn't really a stall!
From Nov. 1 to Nov 15 I think I lost 1 lb (net), but went down almost 2 sizes. Hormones and our bodies, drive you crazy!

When I was 2 weeks post op my receptionist asked me: When will you start losing? Ok, not a bad question.
When I was 3 or 4 weeks post op the same person asked me if I was done losing. LOL. I obviously did a sucky job explaining it. She has been very nice since then tho!

thats what they did to me a week ago, after a major episode on thursday night, hospital stay, ultrasounds, I have gall stones and have to have my gallbladder removed. Apparently it is a side affect of our surgery. I was told Key indicators for gallstones are:
1. Female
2. Over 40
3. Over weight
4. Drastic weight loss.
That describes me to a T. hopefully it can wait until after the first of the year.

I hope you feel bettr soon. I always get them right after that wild and rough sex with hubby..lol... Hadnt had one since we went to jamaica a couple of years ago when I got back my doc said I had cystitis(sp) and to make sure I pee after we have sex. So that is what I do as soon as we are done(sounds gross) but I get up and go stratight to the bathroom to pee..
