Topic: I'm back, but....
Not up to snuff. I spent a week in Las Vegas, well actually 3.5 days plus 1.5 days in the HUGE (not) burg of Ridgecrest in the middle of nowhere California next to China Lake Naval test center (or whatever they call it where they practice shooting from planes and dropping explosive stuff). Two four-hour car rides with a guy who was hacking and coughing left me with a cold. To top that off, I had my front teeth re-capped today. The temps are on until sometime next week and I'm sore, sore, sore!
I'm in the middle of keeping up with the Becoats in a very minor way - I'm just redoing a powder room so I'm really no competition! I'm off on Friday and plan to finish up Christmas shopping so the weekend will be for the powder room completion. I hope to have enough energy next week to get the Christmaas tree up, but I have parties all week through Saturday and they are a priority of course!
All the bedrooms at my house will be occupied over Christmas by son and daughter-in-law, sister and brother-in-law, and a friend of a friend who's not going home to Wisconsin this year. I guess I better start thinking about cooking, huh? Haven't done much of that in 6 months that's for sure! Does anyone have a recipe for turkey made from protein powder and do I use chocolate or vanilla powder?

I agree with Jen, there are three keys to breaking a plateau..
Increase Protein, ( solid is better than liquid)
Drink more water ( sometimes I feel like Im floating)
Increase or change the intensity of your excercise.
I have been gaining and loosing the same lb for the last 11 days. I am not going to make my end of the year goal... I need to loose 16 more lbs by Dec 31, Im not going to dwell on it because my first goal was to loose 100 lbs by Christmas and I did it by Sept 25th....
I was sick last week, ate very little ( which actually slows down my weight loss) and hardly moved. So now that I am on the mend have increased my excercise.
Fingers crossed MY scale will go down again soon.
Best of luck
Becky

Robin -I have had similar "problems". So the last two days I had so much protein it was coming out of my ears!! I got in 80 g protein using shakes, cottage cheese w/unflavored protein and Friday's Brand steak bites (jerky)
My scale showed a 4 lb loss! It really got things moving again--if you know what I mean.
Good luck!
Jen

Ok so I am down 92 pounds which is great...BUT I have a goal of wanting to be down 100 pounds by Christmas and my scale has not moved in like 3 weeks and if it does move its up a pound then back down to where I'm at. My blood sugars have been going low between meals, so I think my dietitian will have me adjust things (see her and the surgeon on the 18th) I upped my water, and started a food diary and I am doing well with my vitamins (still having trouble with my Calcium, but working on it), Try to get protein then vegies, then fruits...And I upped my exercise and I can't seem to get rid of these 8 stinking pounds and time is ticking...Well I guess it sounds like I am really complaining when I should be (and really am!) thankful for what I have lost and Praise the Lord for his greatness!
I just need some advice I don't know what else to try...is there anything I am missing...And yes I have also been praying! I didn't forget to do that! Ask and you shall receive but...will it be by Christmas? lol
Non-the-less I am happy with my weight loss and very grateful to God for you guys and all the blessings the Lord has showered me with.
