Welcome to our June board. Glad you found us!
thank you for your support and kind words.
I will certainly be contacting you soon for an insight to what you do for your group.

Welcome aboard!! Looks like you have had great success with your tool. I think the clothes shopping is pretty common... I know I do the same, when I can bring myself to even shop!! I dread shopping because I don't really have any idea what size I am!!
I too go to my local support group meetings. I never miss it!! We meet twice a month and I think the meeting really keep me on track.
The board has been slow lately.... but I know on my end, I have just been so busy with work. Hopefully people will keep popping in and posting.

Hi Alice,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I think that I stumbled on this forum once before very early on, but there wasn't much going on and I lost my way back. I'm glad I found it again and look forward to getting to know you and others on this forum.
Hopefully you'll be able to get out and about more now that the milder fall weather is with us.
Take care and thanks again,
Barb

I was low on my Vitamin D.. and am supposed to go in for lab work on it.. I plan on going to go today.
It's my own fault.. cause I don't do outside. I hate heat!!
Once again. Welcome!! Alice

P.S. I live in Raleigh NC now, but I'm from the Bay Area ... I used to live in Almaden Valley, near Los Gatos in the the South Bay. Small World!

Hi Jen,
It's nice to meet you. I am new to this forum, but an oldie on OH. This is a great thread.
I too have reached goal and am maintaing. Like you I have learned that I can push limits and admit that I do at times, but I also track what I do and make corrections. I know that before, I basically acted like a fat ostrich with my head in the sand all the time. I didn't make myself be accountable to me. Now, I weigh every morning and a log what I eat. Do I always make the best choices? No ... But, generally, I do make better choices... For me, I think that awareness is going to be the thing that will help me in the long run.
Like you, I attend the formal support group meetings that my program holds each month ... I just went to the one they had last night and guess what the topic was? ... Your thread is almost a dead on match! It was about long-term success, regain, etc...
I also started a local support group here in Raleigh and I have over 160 members. We meet once a month and social networking is the focus, though I have had folks ask me to have people come speak and it may be something that I'll look into. If you have any questions on how/what I do, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks again for the thoughtful thread.
All the best,
Barb

Hi Katie,
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been plagued with so many complications and have had to deal with a second surgery to address them, but I'm glad that they were able to address the issues that you'll soon be on the mend.
I wish you a gentle and speedy recovery.
All the best,
Barb
