I had my surgery in June of 2007, for the past 8 weeks on and off I am having a pain in my left side about the middle of my abdomen but all the way to the left, when it hits me its like a stabbing pain that takes my breath away and sometimes radiates into my shoulder I have not been able to associate it with anything so far, has anyone else experienced this and can anyone tell me what may be causing it.  It is located right below my ribcage but above my bellybutton and all the way to the left side if it was any further to the left it would be in my back.... please help with any suggestions

You should go see your surgeon.  It could be something like your gallbladder or even kidney stones.   But like anything else... it is best to ask the experts and that would be your surgeon.  I am sure they will do some tests and figure out what it is.

Take care.
