Ok so on wednesday I had my lithrotripsy for my kidney stone............i feel MUCH BETTER......don't really know why the stent is still in me and i have a huge bruise on my side....

BUT HEY I WILL TAKE IT!!!!

I am peeing out sand flecks so far ................and things seem to be coming out good!


I did tell the dr. a few things.....first i will not go home with out pain meds

second i will never have a stent put back in me

and third you will put me out to pull the stent out of me (i don't care if it takes 30 seconds for it to come out) you are going to put me out or give me a shot of something so i can't feel it


he agreed to all of it and was actually nice about everything!

That stent may be painful, but so would the discomfort of peeing sand.  I had a major stone about 8 years ago.  I passed it without blasting, and it made a major clink in the toilet - kid you not. 

I have heard that lemon juice helps reduce the chance of kidney stones forming.  Not sure if it is true or not, but I have some every day.  Only one minor incident since then.

Pam, thank you for the compliment.....i still feel the pain even with the stent in me.....uggh not as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago but ugggh.....oh well........


I am going to start the lemon juice.....hey it's a small thing and might prevent i am in...
