Ok So I have had this kidney stone that is the size of a nickel in me and this past wednesday they put a stent in me so that when I go next Wednesday to have it litho something ..........the dr. feels the particles might still be to big pass.....and this will relieve some of the pain.

Well I thought this was going to be not to bad of thing LET ME JUST TELL YOU.......this stent has caused me more pain than alot of things I have gone through........i can feel it all the time, it feels like very, very, very, bad menstrual cramps............

When I pee it feels like I am peeing glass out of me

to top it off my urologist doesn't think i need any pain meds...........THANK GOD I HAVE SOME TRAMADOL..........

he did give me a antiboitc and another pill for the spasms........but for pain nothing............to say the least i am not very happy with him....only problem is he is the only urologist in the area I could go to syracuse but  I would have to wait.....so what's a girl to do? I do believe he is a good dr. in the fact he knows what he is doing......HE'S JUST A JERK..........

anyways that's a update sorry for the venting

Yikes and OWIE!

Go to your PCP and get something for the pain.  Or remember my thoughts on Valium - if you can sleep through it everything's good!

Take care, girlie, or better yet have Henry take care of you!

Geesh.... sounds like you are having quite a time.  Definitely go see you PCP for pain meds.  No need to suffer in pain these days.

Hope things go better for you this week.  Take care.

Crystal,

I'm sooooo sorry to hear of your pain. I had a kidney stone earlier this year and was able to pass it without 'assistance' ... I had pain meds for that, I can't imagine not having pain meds for you are going through. I'd contact his office again and/or your PCP to see about getting some relief. I understand that he may not think that this is painful, but if you are experiencing pain, he needs to address it.

Wishing you success and comfort,

Barb
