Finally home from hospital... re-do surgery....
Just thought i would update you all... i went in tuesday morning for my pouchy to be re-done and my limb reduced nd to figure out why i was experiencing soo much pain these past 3-4 months... I had gone in for gallbladder ultrasounds, barium and then an upper GI to discover my gallbladder was fine but off of my pouch was this huuuge out-pouching.. some call it a "candy-cane" effect? haha who knows,,, so everytime i ate it would get stuck in there and have no way of getting out... well it was suposed to be a simple surgery and i would go home wed morning but instead when they got in there... i had alot more wrong that they knew off... she warned me before i went into surgery i may have developed hernias which is common that we do with such rapid weight loss... well of course i had one.. small but probably whats causing me soo much soreness right now... i also had SEVERAL adhesions on my colon... which had made my colon so disteneded and filled with gas with no way of it getting out... another reason for the sharp excrutiating pains ive been dealing with.,. i guess im glad to of had it all fixed but im not into the whole mushy food crap again .... its only for a week but its like deja-vu.... i have to stick to a blended diet... its just a pain but i wish i knew what had caused all these problems to prevent this again... and i feel pretty nauseas on top of being in some pain... i guess im just glad to be here and for the pain to stop after im all healed up... hopefully during the mushy food period ill shed a few more pounds haha... ive been stuck at 170.2 for like a month and a half... kinda irratating haha... i also thought it was weird i didnt have a drain this time... they took mine out when i left the hospital for my original bypass but im soo swollen and above my belly button looks like im preggo haha and my lower back is even bloated and swollen... normal i know but just alot worse than before.. well i probably didnt notice it too much considering i weighed 300 pounds and looked swollen no matter what haha!

Geesh,,,, sounds like you have had your share of complications. Even though complications are rare.... it really sucks when you are the unlucky one out of 1000 or whatever the number is.
Glad to hear that you have it all fixed up and that you are back on the mend again. I am sure it isn't easy to go back to the earlier stages of the diet, but like you said... you'll likely lose a few more pounds!!
Take it easy, and all the best for your speedy recovery.

Hi Katie,
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been plagued with so many complications and have had to deal with a second surgery to address them, but I'm glad that they were able to address the issues that you'll soon be on the mend.
I wish you a gentle and speedy recovery.
All the best,
Barb
