Well today is day one of my 5 day pouch test. I have been loosing and gaining the same 5 lbs for a couple months now. I'm ready to break the cycle. I know I have been eating too many slider foods, mostly because I find it so difficult to eat solid protein. I havent eaten meat in months. Although I am getting enough protein. Time to rboot my tool and hopefully break the carb cycle I have been in. http://www.5daypouchtest.com/ Becky

I used the 5 day pouch test when I was pushing my sugar tolerance level. I am a sweet freak, there is no way around it. Not sure what it is about the program, but it worked substantially for me. Best of luck Pam

I just did the 5 day pouch test last week.  Was kind of leary to try it for a while.  Finally did.  Let me tell you.  From the day of surgery I had very little problems eating anything - no dumping, nothing.  Did the 5 day pouch test.  Went good.  Finished it on Tuesday.  Wednesday went good.  Since doing that test, if I put anything in my system that I should not - sugar especially, I pay for it.  Spent two days so gassed up and - sorry for the description - burning but hole.   Did make me concentrate on the protein again and lay off the pastas, bread, etc - lost 4 pounds in the process.
