I know this is not news to anyone, but I wanted to share how happy I am now that I found this source of protein. I have trouble getting enough protein because since my surgery I cannot eat any meat poultry or fish (except for cold peel and eat shrimp or raw clams). I wasn't able to do protein supplements because they made me sick but when I saw my dr at my year check up and learned I am anemic and need to get no less than 60g of protein a day (i was only getting an average of 20-30g a day) and did not have any weight loss in 3 months, I jumped on the bandwagon. I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and found these 3.1 ounce protein drinks that have 42g of protein in them. I can't do them all at once so I do it in thirds and chase it down with some water. You can mix it in a drink, but I'd prefer to just chug it and get it over with. It is really really sweet, and tastes a bit like children's cough medicine, but I can tolerate it and I am getting half of my daily protein from it. I bought a case of it and now I'm looking to find it online cheaper.

I always forget about those. I prefer the Profect brand better, they are not as sweet, but only have 25 grams per vile. They have some better flavors, in my opinion. I used them alot when I went through radiation. At that point, they wanted me doing 110 grams of protien a day. The only way I stayed up with it is any whey in my coffee and one to two of those a day. Hope it works well for you. Pam
