Well I'm a little over a year out and I am down 123 lbs! I only have 12 more pounds to go! But I am struggling. I'm starting to snack and I know that it's bad but I do it anyway. I have come to realize that I HAVE to eat a protein shake for breakfast everyday or my tummy is upset all day long. Other than that life seems back to normal except I have so much more energy! and I love my new body! I am worried about gaining the weight back so I really need some encouragement to get me back on track....anyone have any suggestions to help me stop snacking? What do you do to stay on track? Are you all still exercising? How many times a week? Thanks!!!

HI Beth... Well this board suddenly seems to have gone dead again. I too am struggling everyday with snacking...I have to talk myself out of it and increase my exercise to stay on top of it. I Do something every day of the week. I do aquafit 2 to 4 times a week. I walk EVERYDAY. Some days its a short 30 min walk sometimes I wear weights on my ankles sometimes I do more hills..etc. Always changing it. I have to make a consious effort....so I wont end up right back where I started. Good Luck to you Becky

Hi Beth, congratulations on your loss!!! you look beautiful!! I just try to make sure if I snack it is on healthy things like carrot stick, celery,or even those 100 calorie pack things if I need something salty..... I too try to do something physical everyday, I have recently may2nd had another surgery and dr. just released me to go back to exercising but i have tried to maintain doing something everyday even if it is just walking. I was going to curves 3xs a week and then walking the other days...........i am starting to run (ok slow pace LOL) now...... Take care (((((hugs to you))))

Hi Beth: I am back to logging on fitday. I try to exercise at least 4 times a week (finished my first sprint triathlon on Saturday woohoo). On days I don't exercise, I keep the calories a little lower. I think it is all about balance of food and exercise. Just like my non-WLS nieces. When they eat fast food they gain. When they knock it off and work out, they lose. We can do this! congratulations!! judi

Beth Happy anniversary. I am back to logging a journal every day too. I have fallen and can't seem to get up. Every day is a struggle lately. Pam
