I made my MIL cry

My husband parents moved to Sorrento BC a couple years ago. Before that they lived just up the street from us. So now we see them much less often. We visited them last May a couple weeks before I had my Surgery in June. We told them for the first time about the surgery and that I was going to have it. They have been kept informed of all the goings on since and each month I email them the "first of the month" pic that I take each month. In Sept when my weight loss was about 85lbs I did see Mother In Law for a VERY short visit but have not seen FIL since last May. So tonight they came for a visit.... They are on the island for a few days. It is my husbands birthday next week and they wanted to see him. DH opened the door and greeted them, a few seconds behind I appeared from the living room and all four of their eyes popped out of their heads and both lower jaw**** the floor. MIL pushed past DH and grabbed me saying OMG OMG OMG!! She was rocking me back and forth and couldn't seem to stop saying OMG. when she finally let go of me and stepped back she was in tears, she stood their trying to wipe her eyes and which point FIL pushed passed DH and grabbed me into a hug. Neither of them could believe what they were seeing. I should mention that there is NO love lost between this couple and myself...and I really don't think FIL has ever hugged me, even at our wedding. LOL and to add to my other post about not recognising me I was at the dentist this morning to have molar pulled, The Dental assistant ( who is ALWAYS the assistant I have) came and got me from the waiting room, Sat me down and put the bib on me... the dentist came in and froze me, pulled the tooth. He left and while she was giving me instruction on what to do if there was too much bleeding etc, and she mentioned not eating things with seeds like bread... I mentioned how I don't eat bread anyway...Then said to her.. " Aren't you going to say anything about my weight loss?" She about died...she said "OMG it IS you" She told me that she had come to the door with my file in her hand, opened it and called my name, she was surprised at the stranger who stood up and thought she must have my name confused with someone else. She didn't realize it was me until I said that. Becky
