Here it has been 8 months. Tried my first apple today. I don't know why I thought I could get away with it. I ate about 3 slices and peanut butter.... and started slimeing.. ended up bringing it back up. Last week I tried cantalope again.. 1 small cube and that was it. The only fresh fruits I have been able to keep down.. are bananas and blue berries(which I didn't like before). The nut. suggested I drink V* Splash.. which I do and enjoy. But darn it anyway.. I can't eat the stuff that is supposed to be good for me. I can handle chips and even a few bites of desserts just fine.. Thanks for being here.. I do enjoy all your input. Alice

I haven't tried apples yet because I hear so many people dump on them. I do eat berries without any problem: blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, boysenberries. I hate veggies for the most part so I'm wondering how to get my "good" carbs in too... Bekah

Thanks!! Glad to hear it isn't only me. Thought I was the ODD MAN OUT. Everyone seems to be eating things I can't. Alice

I hear in our group meetings that some people have issues with the apple peels. So most people try apples but they just don't eat the skin. I don't have any issues with apples, blueberries, rasberries, strawberries, grapes, or mangos. I did have an issue when I tried to eat raw carrots. They didn't sit very well at all with me. I guess each of us are different, so you just have to try things out and see what works... then wait for a few months and try again!! Sherri

I eat the granny smith apples... I peel and slice them and have probably been eating them since I could have solid foods. There really isn't much that I can't have. It use to be tortillas and bread, but now I can eat those as well. I just remember moderation for everything now.

I eat Granny Smith apples. My surgeon say's nothing with peels so everything is peeled and sliced thin. How about microwaving them or sauteeing them to soften? It may make it easier to digest. Jen
