Smar****er
Hi All... my go****'s been like forever since I wrote a post on here.. I've really been slacking. Though I do read your posts and check on all of you daily. You are all in my prayers.
Well, I have some interesting news for those of us who just HATE water.. I have found Smar****er. OMG, it is wonderful.. no sugar or calories or anything like that.. I don't know what it is about this water, but it is addictive and great. I have become a water fan. After how many months now, I'm finally getting in all the water I'm supposed to. "I may be slow, but I will get there."
I am able to eat more now a days... Yuck! (and yay) As of today, I've lost 109 pounds. I went from 305 to 196.. so exciting being under 200.. the last time was my Senior year in HS. And I thought I was so fat! Now I'm like "check me out... whoo hoo!" I tell everyone how much I weigh. Even strangers. They must think I'm nuts. But, don't care!
One area of concern I have now: I have become semi-addicted to carbs again.. but not the candy bars, ice cream, candy, chocolate carbs.. I mean the very very low sugar carbs with a net carb of like 20+.. ouch! I know that's so not good. But I am working on it... now that I'm enjoying water, hopefully that will take the carb-edge off. Oh, and I've become addicted to coffee w/sf creamer and splenda. I drink one cup in the mornings on my way into work. Do you all think that much caffeine is too much?
My goodness, I've just rambled on and on... I'll shut-up now. =-)
Blessings to all of you and your wonderful families!
Your sister in this war,
Lisa
Dang, you're just gorgeous! KEEP IT UP!
Carbs - I wish they had removed that part of my brain that craves the comfort of carbs! I'm hooked on Italian Herb flatbread crackers from Target.
Caffeine - no such thing as too much! LOL! Seriously, I do 4 shots of espresso every morning on my drive to work (love my espresso machine - beats paying $$$ at Starbucks) and may have a cup of regular caffeinated coffee at work (may be a couple of days a week). Then, I switch to decaf for another 3 to 6 shots of espresso when I get home in the evening. If I had a slocal ource for good whole decaf espresso beans (don't like Starbucks), I'd switch entirely to decaf.
Thanks for letting us know how you're doing!
Cleo
Cleo--
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! You are such a doll! I love reading your posts. You and Crystal just crack me up! You both are always so uplifting and positive and not a lot of people in this world are... you know what I mean? Maybe switching to Decaf will work for me.. I'm going to try this!
If you get a chance, try the Smar****er. My Kroger here carries it.. You may love it! I know I do!
Blessings,
Lisa
Cleo, Have you tried Gevalia? I love their Expresso! You can get the whole bean in decaf. I love their coffee. There is nothing like the first cup in the morning. I told my surgeon that if I couldn't have coffee after the surgery, then cancel the operation! I only drink 2-3 cups a day, but it is the one vice I can't give up. Deb
