I can't do any type of bread. I tried a piece of wheat toast last week and after one bite well... I do a bit better with crackers but just a few at a time. Jen

i think i have an iron stomach. i can tolerate anything unless i eat too fast. (not going there with sugar though, no way no how!)

Hi Judi, i too like katie have eaten bread,bagels,french fries, etc.... HOWEVER, I AM NOT A BIG BREAD EATER AT ALL..........every now and then i have a sandwich eat a half or a quarter with bread (although most of the time i throw the bread off) i also wanted a bagel one morning and i really really toasted it same with the english muffin ate a half of a half........big waste but fulfilled that craving or whatever it was.... french fries i never order them but once in awhile i will take 3- 4 of them and eat them from the hubby's pack or kids........ I do believe in getting in my protein first veggies second and fruit last BUT i do believe this surgery is also a tool......and dab nab it if every now and then i want a little something i am going to have it..........;i didn't have this surgery to stop living but so that i could start living!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE JUDI!!!!

you have a great attitude and i'm impressed at how well you are working it! it is just me and the husband in this house so luckily i don't have teenagers around tempting me. i'm averaging 70-80 grams of protein now that i'm back on the shakes. thanks crystal, love to you too!!

Tried a piece of toast and it didn't work for me. Haven't tried any potatoes, rice or pasta - although lately pizza is sounding so good. I met friends for lunch today at a pizza restaurant and wanted to grab a bite of the personal pan pizza the guy at the next table was eating! I do eat crackers with my Laughing Cow Lite cheese (where IS that darned Buffy???) but try to limit it to no more than 3/day. I find that unless I limit my carbs to dairy (yogurt, cheese, milk) and a small serving of vegetables I don't lose weight.

i miss buffy too! i wish she'd pop on to say hi. i gave up the crackers and was doing the laughing cow on deli meat. then i kind of quit eating cheese for awhile. way to restrain yourself today cleo! that would've been kind of funny if you'd hijacked a piece of his pizza! i'll be curious to see what my nut says. on fitday my average fiber is REALLY low compared to what i've seen others say they eat. more veggies needed i suppose! have a great weekend!! judi

i eat bread... i've been eating bread just not much of it... i bought some 1oz bagels which are good! toasted with a smidgen of butter. or i eat crackers. if it's not toasted, i don't touch it... except for the crust! i'm at a stall but I've been eating bread for a few months!

thanks michelle for the info. i am soooo not going to look for those 1 oz bagels lol! obviously it hasn't hurt you though, you've done terrific, stall or not!
