lost weight between thanksgiving

The average american gains between 7lbs and 11lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years. I am definatly not average. I lost 12 lbs and 21 inches. I concentrated on staying below the 1000 mark for calories and made sure I did at least the 60 grams of protein. For January, I am going to work on getting my fat grams under control - stay between 20 and 30 and also to make sure I get to Curves 3 times a week. Because of the holiday's I was only making it twice a week. How did you all do and what are your January goals.

Delores - I'm happy to join you with the other Junesters who aren't average! I lost 11 pounds between T-giving and today and 7.5 inches. Total weight loss/inches are 92.3 pounds and 66.75 inches!!! In January I want to learn to use all the new fitness equipment at my center's new location (it's AMAZING!) and get back to averaging 100 g of protein. In December I slipped to an average of 88 g protein, making up the balance of my 1000 calories with carbs from fruit. YAY us! Cleo

I lost 10 lbs in that time period. When I had my surgery I left the hospital with a goal to loose 100 lbs by Christmas, I was fortunate enough to loose it by Sept 25th. So I set a new goal to be in ONderland by New years.... I am 9 lbs short of that goal. My ultimate goal is to get to goal weight by the anniversary of my surgery. I have 6 months to go and 59 lbs to go..... I also hope to have plastic surgery to remove my lovely skin apron, I have my first meeting with a Plastic Surgeon in Feb. Now that the holidays are ending I am going to get back on track and increase my excercise. Walk further and harder and maybe go to Aqua fit more often than the 2 times a week I go now. I am also planning to start going to the gym. I hope you all have a happy New Year!!! Becky

I lost too, 6 pounds I think since Thanksgiving. Definitely slowing down now but only 12 pounds to go!!! My January goal is to decrease my per meal intake but increase the number of meals in a day. I find I'm eating too much per meal because I'm so concerned about getting protein in - but then I feel crappy because I overate. Still experimenting I guess... Also training for a 5 mile race at the end of February. Going to run it with my sis - should be...fun Bekah

i lost 8 or 9 lbs in that time frame. November sucked. December was much much better. Here is to a great 2008! judi

i only lost 5 lbs from thanksgiving to now...but i have only 15lbs more to go wooo hoo!!!!!!!!!!i posted my inches lost earlier but do not know how many from thanksgiving to now..............i do know that i was wearing a size 12 right before thanksgiving and now a 8 and they are getting big now as well.... i really want to start walking again and maybe some weights good luck to everyone
