problems with certain foods........
ok well I was just wondering what everyone CANT eat or drink.........
and what they CAN that they are suprised about...........
well I cant eat ANYTHING really greasy AT ALL!! Like I had a few pieces of bacon the other day and BLAH!!!! NOT GOOD!
But then I splurged on a few peices of christmas candy that my sister in law makes every year and I was "fine" SCARY!!
And then last night for dinner I had some of those bacon cheddar potato wedges from Jack in the box and ...............................YUCK!! I had my first bad dumping...........it didnt last to long but i had major cramping and diareha
(sp?)
I use to throw up almost after every meal. Come to find out, it was my gallbladder! Once it was out I quit throwing up. Now if I eat something really greasy, I better watch out! I still can't eat most meats. I did eat some bacon the other day and it did not bother me. I can also eat turkey or chicken otherwise, like you said....YUCK! So, I just drink 90-100 g of protein a day. At Christmas I made cookies for my kids. YES, I did eat some! No dumping. I ate in moderation on Thanksgiving and Christmas, the desserts, and then got back on the wagon. It was so much easier than I thought it would be! My husband wanted to buy me some sugar free cookies that he thought were delicious, but I told him I eat desserts only on special occasions. I am afraid I could abuse those just as well as the others. I don't want to have desserts all the time because those are my big down fall. Once I start eating, I keep eating and eating and eating them. So, no more. I control when I eat them this way. Sweets don't overtake my control.

Bread - oh my feels like a huge lump of cotton in my belly.
Yogart is a mystery to me. Only have found one that I can eat and it is Blue Bunny sweet freedom. Dannon was recommended and made me dump immediately.
As far as bacon, I use the precooked shelf stable kind. Its a staple at our house. I started using it prior to WLS while doing Weigh****chers. My 4 year old would live on it if you let him. Its thin and crispy and takes 10 seconds in the microwave. I always wrap it in paper towels to absorb all the extra grease.
Sweets don't really appeal to me except for dark chocolate. I have a bag of the dark chocolate kisses in my desk drawer, and have one, maybe two a day. Tried the milk chocolate ones, and was in major pain in 10 minutes.
I can do chicken-turkey- ham-basically all meats. I can't do hamburgers. But I can do a taco weird huh? . I can't handle anything too greasy or fried. I was suprised when I could handle some ranch dressing. Now I'm not talking alot just a dip from my fork here and there but I was suprised anyway! I haven't tried too many sweets as I don't want to find out if I tolerate them or not but I have been ok with a few bites of cheesecake and once I had a little rolo. WAY TO YUMMY..so I had to stop! Today for lunch I tried the "sammie" size flatbread from quiznos! YUMMO!!! I had turkey and cheese with lettuce and tomato. It was the perfect size for me and it was only $2 . It was the first sandwich I've been able to try. Bread usually doesn't work for me.
I can't eat bread.. but that is good because I lived on it before.. have no trouble with chips and/or crackers so can't have em in the house.
I can eat crisp bacon but made some very greasy stuff and boy was I sick. Such a knot finally had to get some Tenderizer.. made a special trip to the store.
Have trouble with eggs unless they are poached. A few bites of sweets are OK but can't /won't have them in the house. But do try them when I am at the kids.
I have gotten so I can't stand the sight of a cheese stick.. but do enjoy Havarti or other soft cheeses in small amounts.
I can not eat FRESH fruit.. even at this date out.
Chicken if moist, ham not at all, turkey deli and I love canned roast beef in a home made vegetable soup. Alice
I can eat any meat or fish - no problems at all. No problem with eggs.
I haven't tried bread yet and don't plan to for a while, but melba toast seems okay.
Hi fat foods make me feel icky and tired.
I haven't tried anything over 6 gm of sugar and I don't want to so i don't know about that.
Anything over 15 carbs makes me VERY tired.
