Wow...here we are at six months out...
I know I'm shaking my head at where the time has gone, and glad to be at this place where I've begun to figure out my body, and quit struggling with what I can-and-cannot have.
And I celebrate my successes with you all:
High weight was 333.
As of 12/24, was 240.
90 pounds off of me!
Lost 11 inches off the hips and 10 inches off the waist (plus inches everywhere else, but those are my important ones!)
My two fears from before surgery were: 1. Throwing up 2. Losing my hair.
I learned to throw up well, and was so relieved afterward that it became a blessing. My hair has thinned, but I'm nowhere near bald, so relieved about that. I give the credit to protein and vitamin intake.
My family and I are going snowmachining for New Year's. This is a big deal to me personally because I also went last year, same time. My snow pants were a size 3x, and actually ripped in the crotch because they were stretched too tight. So I had a wet butt the whole time. And I got my machine stuck in deep snow last year and had a terrible time pulling my 333 pounds out of the snow. The hubby kept having to help get me up! This year, I have a new XL matching bibs and jacket (they don't do matching anything in 3X!), no holes, and I'm looking forward to challenging my body to do a little more riding!
Thanks to you all for being out there. I don't post often, but read almost daily, and feel like I know you all.
Congratulations to all of us. Keep positive!
