Up and Trucking again...

Hi Everyone. I wanted to let you all know what has been going on lately. First let me remind you of my journey. I weighed 575 when I started the WLS program in January 2007. I know that I weighed much more than that at one time. Today I weigh 435. Now for my WOW!! I was able to get into a big-truck and fit behind the wheel and drive again. It was my cousins brand new Kenworth pulling a gasonline tanker. Before my surgery I wasn't even able to climb up into a truck and forget about fitting behind the wheel. I went today for my DOT (Department of Transportation) Medical Card Physical. I passed. So I can legally drive the big trucks again. I had my doubts that I would ever drive a car again never mind getting back into the big trucks. I even got a job offer. I will probably start working next week. Also had some blood tests done last week- everything came back perfect. My PCP was very happy with the results of my vitamin levels. Hope everyone has a great Holiday season. Miguel

Congratulations!...I bet that feels good...My dad has been a truck driver my whole life and he would probably die if he couldn't anymore. So I am really happy for you!
