I normally make all the holiday dinners but this thanksgiving can't because we are homeless right now (lol) we will be going to my mom and dad's house (which will be nice especially with this being my first big dinner since the surgery) all my brother's and wife and children and their children will be there.........

We always go to a aunts house for Thanksgiving on my mom's side. It's a huge family so, the one with the biggest house always has it, but one of the other aunts or uncles makes the meat and potatoes and the rest is potluck. We'll have approximately 60-70 people, too much for one person to prepare. Have a GREAT thanksgiving! I know I have lots to be thankful for this year. Pam

Was going to son's in-laws, but due to his own father's ill health we cancelled so son could spend time with his dad. I'll be joining friends in VA Beach and enjoying not driving 4 hours each way to eat a couple of oz of turkey. Believe it or not, I'm baking apple pies -- it would be hard to "sneak" a piece and not have anyone notice a slice gone! It's a 4-day weekend for me and I hope to get some house painting done --I have to keep up with the Becoats don'tcha know!

We are spending it at my parents house. It is also my dad's 70th birthday. So no pies this year, it will be a 3 tier german chocolate cake for them, and sugar free rice pudding for me. Its funny, everyone is concerned about what I can eat for dinner. Just some minor changes in the menu, but it is for everyones benefit. Instead of sweet potato casserole, its baked sweet potatoes. Instead of green been casserole, its fresh green been almondine. Hawaiian sweet rolls hvave went to whole grain rolls. Moms stuffing recipe is even getting altered to include some vegetables and whole grain breads. I hope everyone is please.
