My first stall!
Ugh! It is so depressing! I can't help but think my weight loss is over (even though I know it isn't!). So many people are noticing my loss and I am feeling bummed! I think the problem I am having with my brain is that our scale at home isn't working so for the first time I weighed myself at the gym. I was like ttally bummed out - I know I am shrinking but the scale isn't showing it! UGH! UGH! UGH!
p.s.
By the way has anyone ever written down some of the bizarre comments people say about their weightloss? I think I'm going to start a running list. Last night I got a funny comment from an older lady I see fairly often and Ihave known since kindergarten: "You look different honey? What is it?" I wanted to say, "DUH! Like I've only lost about 80 pounds since I last saw you!"
Those stalls SUCK thats for sure!!!
I had a couple in October, but for the most part seem to be past it...hopefully !!!
I keep waiting for some funny comments, but so far have gotten none. Obviously my family members and close friends know everything and have been supportive all the way through but I keep thinking people like the Walmart greeter (this is a small town and we see the same two greeters almost everytime we go) or cashiers from the grocery store I frequent. Or even people I know casually who I dont see very often. Nobody seems to notice
There are people who probably wonder where the heck I am, like the waiters in our fav restaurant, the people at KFC, The pizza guy, The drive through kids at MacDonalds, They probably think I dropped off the face of the earth and wont know me if they ever do see me again.

i have had a few people ask me all quietly and give me the stare as they say have you been sick?
then one lady said to me geesh crystal i didn't even recoginize you ....you are sooo small
then i had one lady at the support group tell me the other day that i look great...because i was soooooo round before.....
welcome to the we hate stalls club!
but if your body is still morphing it isn't really a stall!
From Nov. 1 to Nov 15 I think I lost 1 lb (net), but went down almost 2 sizes. Hormones and our bodies, drive you crazy!
hang in there!
When I was 2 weeks post op my receptionist asked me: When will you start losing? Ok, not a bad question.
When I was 3 or 4 weeks post op the same person asked me if I was done losing. LOL. I obviously did a sucky job explaining it. She has been very nice since then tho!

Hey Tam-
Sounds like you're doing GREAT! We all are faced with the scale not moving, but you are still losing inches during those times. It's your body's way of catching up to the weight loss. And don't worry about the gym scale....they are always a few pounds more than our home ones. I'm not sure why, but it's just like the clinic scales, always a few pounds more. Hmmmm? makes you wonder.
Strange comment...one I've received was a lady at work said, "Oh my God you are just shrinking." Now mind you, I'm not small at all, still have a long ways to go. I said, "Oh thank you, I'm getting there." She looked at me all concerned and said, "So, what happens when you've lost everything? How do you get it to stop or do you just keep losing?" I said, "Well, I won't disintgrate. I'm sure I'll stop losing weight when I'm suppose to." She says, "But if you can't eat hardly anything how do you stop losing." WOW!
