I was looking forward to hitting 100 lbs lost, that happened in late Sept, since then Ive been looking forward to being able to say I'd lost 120lbs, well sometime between yesterday morning and this morning I lost 2.5 lbs and skipped right over it. I have now lost 121 lbs. October was a slow month, only having lost 13 lbs so far in November Ive lost 7.5 so hopefully I am back on track.!!! Becky

Hi Becky. I had surgery the same day as you. I was losing around 25 lbs per month. But in October I only lost 19 lbs. And so far in November I have only lost 3 lbs. I was feeling very dissapointed- but reading your post and seeing that I'm not the only one made me feel a little bit better. I know that I am still losing inches and I'm building muscle from working hard at the gym every day... But hopefully we will start going down again. Good Luck.. Miguel

Miguel: you are doing great! I'm sure your body is taking a much needed rest from all of the weight you lost so quickly. way to go on the exercise. I joined a gym too. So far I'm mostly doing the elliptical and weights. My trainer said cardio first, then the weights is that how you are doing it? curious, judi

Miguel I think you are doing fabulous!!! October was rough for me, the weight slowed right down and at one point didnt loose anything for over 9 days, then I gained 1 lb....that about killed me. But I noticed that others who had surgery around the time I did were having similar issues, so I chalked it up to being the "normal" course of events. It also kicked my butt and tought me NOT to expect more than my body is willing to give me. You body is likely just taking a breath and will be back on track in no time. There are three known plateau busters: Increase water intake ( I doubled my daily intake in late October) Increase protein intake ( at this stage we should be trying to get more solid protein, the body has to work harder to burn it) and of course Increase / change intensity of excersise. ( I never do the same thing 2 days in a row, I might walk hills today, but tommorrow I will walk the flat track then the next day do aquafit at the pool) Becky

Thank you everyone you are all way too kind... So another 1.5 gone this morning so with yesterdays 2.5 that makes 4 for the week and its only Tuesday So I have now released 122.5 lbs, my weight being 225.5 (OMG!) leaving me 75.5 left to loose before my next birthday (My Birthday is the day after my surgery date) and only 25.5 left to loose to achieve my end of the year goal. After a disappointing October, November has been much nicer to me.

Becky, Miguel, everyone...You're all doing great! Like Becky said, if you're sticking to the plan your body will do what it's supposed to. Maybe not on YOUR schedule, but you WILL see the results! WAY TO GO!!!!! Cleo
