what about that over the counter womans meds oh what is uristat or something like that they have straight cranberry pills for urinary tract infections, you should look in to it, then you save on looking for sf cranberry, i try that

yes they have some over the counter things that can help you feel better but really doesn't get rid of the infection...uggghhh......i feel much better though today. thanks!

I'm sorry you have a UTI - they are not fun! Nobody told me we are at higher risk either - then I got my first Kidney stone - I thought I was going to die and I have given birth before!!! Hopefully you will feel better really soon! kyla

I was wondering about that as I have had one almost ongoing since surgery. No one has told me that surgery could be a factor until now thanks...Pam

HI Pam, he said something to the fact of because at times we don't get the right nutrition our kidneys have to make up or produce whatever that makes us get the infection...i am sorry i can't remember exactly what he said but it was something to that fact....lol...

I hope you feel bettr soon. I always get them right after that wild and rough sex with hubby..lol... Hadnt had one since we went to jamaica a couple of years ago when I got back my doc said I had cystitis(sp) and to make sure I pee after we have sex. So that is what I do as soon as we are done(sounds gross) but I get up and go stratight to the bathroom to pee..
