GOT a urinary tract infection.............geeeesh he told me it is common with gastric bypass patients.........wonder why that is?

Because we sometimes do not get enough fluids! if you dont get enough fluid intake your kidneys done fill the bladder...the bladder doesnt get full and dosent flush out all the bacteria! sip sip sip drink some cranberry something everyday to keep infection away HAHAHAHAHA I dunno if the Dr would agree but it helps me. nutti

bummer. i've heard that too not sure of the cause. all the protein we eat/drink? sip those liquids. someone at quix just mentioned these and everyone *****plied was on the same drug to clear it up. let me know if you want me to do a search and see what the drug was. judi

as usual i'm goofed up. it was yeast infections they were talking about. ugh to those too! i have heard that some people's docs make them drink just clear water, no crystal light, etc. I wonder if regular water for a few days would help clear it up! good luck! judi

Sorry to hear that. Cranberry juice helps, but make sure you get the lite. I have heard we are also prone to Kidney stones for the same reason. I don't drink anythere near what I used to, but I am up to 96 oz a day.

Ohhhhhhhhhh....that's no fun! I would have to agree with the SF cranberry juice. It helps to clean the bacteria out. Hope you feel better soon hon! Pam
