A Pretty Good Week
A while back I posted that a man I work with actually did a double take when he saw me in the hall last month after I returned from a month off from my knee surgery. What I didn't post was that he said the women were noticing my weight loss but they were probably jealous and not saying anything. Well, the silence was broken this week. I had 4 women at different times come to me and make elaborate comments on how good I am looking. All wanted to know how I did it (liquid protein, low calorie, low carb and EXERCISE is what I said). One woman is very short and also obese. I could just feel she wanted to ask if I had surgery, but she didn't. She also couldn't believe I had only lost as much weight as I have. She thought I had lost more than 125 pounds - if only!!! She came back a day later and asked if she could have any of my clothes I've undergrown! Guess I'll be dragging bags of clothes to work next week.
Now that you've mentioned it, there have been more and more comments directed toward me lately...
Must be something about hitting a certain mark (70 pounds) that makes it finally obvious?
I too don't tell people about my surgery...just that eating better, eating not as much, and exercising.
One lady said I looked "like a shadow of my former self". I really liked that one!
