Hey Junesters!! As we get farther out, I'm having a hard time with meals. What do you eat and how much at a meal? I'm still just eating 3-4 oz of protein and maybe a bite or two of a vegetable. I miss vegies and wonder if I'm eating enough/too much. Help, Help!! Thanks!! Jeannie

Mine varies sooo much. There are some days I can eat quite a bit and other times I can only take a couple of bites. I let my pouch rule how much I eat. It also depends on what type of food it is, soups and things of that nature go through and you can eat more than meats. Pam

I can only eat about an ounce of meat at a time. My meal usually consists of 1 ounce of meat, 1/2 potaote (red) or 1/4 c mashed and about 1/4 c veggie (if that much). I can eat about 1/2 c to 3/4 c of food at a time. My nutritionist said 1000 calories a day, 30 grams of fat (max) and 60 to 80 grams protein. I may eat on the light side. I know if I eat too much or too fast, it's time to pray to the porcelean god. So I try to stay light.

for me it depends on the day. i find that something i eat one day that stays down, may not stay down the next time i eat it. because i have trouble with my esophagus having scar tissue and being narrow i do better with soups and fish. i love veggies but can't do a lot of them. i found that pickled beets are a good protein source so i try to have one every day. i think you just have to listen to your own tummy and take it one day at a time, remember, we are all different, we heal differently and need different things
