Had to switch stores!
Last night after work, I stopped by my favorite store, Talbots Woman. They are having a big sale and I need a pair of black pants. The smallest they carry is 12W. I tried some on and they were too big. I almost panicked. I've shopped there for years and I know most of the clerks, etc. The store manager told me it was time to "switch" to the regular Talbots store, just across the way in the mall. She actually walked me over there and introduced me to some of the girls working there and told me to be sure and stop by to visit her.
It was so weird -- I wasn't excited, I was almost scared. I didn't buy anything, but I tried on a few pairs of pants from the petite section and they fit. I kept thinking that people were probably looking at me and wondering why I was in the petite section of a "regular" store when I should be across the way in the plus size store. I think this is one of those times that I need for my head to catch up with my body. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I went shopping with my sister this weekend. I went straight to the womens section and tried on the smallest size. They were too big! I look at my self and thing that theere is no way I can fit into a regular size. I have heard that it takes our brains 2 years to catch up with our bodies.
I'm going to have to plan a Talbots trip!
