Labs and Counselor
Well I didn't get them back yet (for the numbers) but I talked to the nurse yesterday and she said all my levels are normal except my BUN was very low...And I went to a counselor today and she wants me to try to exercise before work and try to eat more. And she has had the bypass too, I thought she might understand. So instead of mental help she is giving me nutritional/physical advice errr...I feel like giving up.
Robin, I don't think BUN has anything to do with your energy level, that's got to do with kidney function I believe. Have you tried taking B12 sublingual? I got some at Walmart for like $5 a bottle for 2500 mcg lozenges and it did help. I was so tired all day I needed naps just to keep awake until a normal bed time! Give them a try. Also, if you're not getting in like 1000 calories a day, you will feel more tired. The human body just wasn't built to live on too few calories so if calories = fuel for the body, then calories = energy. Don't give up hon, you can get through this!

Robin ((hugs)) to you!
do you think she thought exercise might boost your energy or make you feel better?
don't hesitate to ask for a new counselor if she is not helping with your concerns!
you have had so many ups and downs, I hope you can get through this. I take the B12's everyone mentioned from Walmart, they are the Rexall brand and taste ok!
hang in there honey and keep us posted! judi
I do take Flintstones vites...2 in the am and 2 in pm and 1 b-12 500mcg sublingual a day. I Do sit ups and push ups and I got a bike recently but don't have enough energy to ride. Last night my daughter had a slumber party...Lord help me...I am completely drained today. lol But anyway...Thank you all for you encouragement and support it means a lot, and I want to appologize for not always being your chin up for the days you're all down.
*hugs*
Robin
