Protein supplements

I am 3 months+ out. I work 11 hour days, so I need to find something quick and easy to eat between lunch and dinner. I was eating protein bars. I had to give up my protein drinks because they were causing explosive diarrhea! Now the protein bars are doing the same. They drinks were whey protein, the bars are soy protein. Has anyone else had this issue? It is uncontrollable...I have not a clue when I will blow! Thanks!

I'm sorry you are having this problem. Have you told your doctor? You don't say what brands you are eating/drinking, but check for the sugar content and sugar alcohol. How about some beef jerkey, string cheese, yogurts, apple & peanut butter. Hopefully you will find something you like. Jen

Hi -- are you mixing your protein with milk? You could have developed lactose intolerance. I have found that I tolerate the "kool-aid" type protein drinks much better than the "milky" type. Two of my favorites are Isopure Alpine Punch (available at GNC, about $3 per bottle, 40 g of protein) and Proti-diet (available on-line -- it's a little pouch of liquid that you mix with a bottle of water -- $7.50 per box of 7, 15 g of protein.) Good luck! Alex
