Recently out of the hospital.... prayers needed.

Chrystal , Hi there my Friend !! Addisons .. yepper .. been there , did it done it .. they found a tumor . I too suffer from it and have been on cortisol now for almost a year . It is pretty devistating to say the least . I thank God I have had no weight gain from the meds , as I am on such a low dose . If you want to talk about this further , please do not hesitate to contact me . I know how scary this must be for you . I had no one when I found out , and ended up spending a month in NIH ( National Institutes of Health ) for the tumor study of my adrenal gland . Tink~ Oh wow.... I am sorry to hear about what you had to go though when you were diagnosed! Fortunately for me, I do not have a tumor, just plain ol' adrenal failure. I am soooo worried about weight gain, I am on hydrocortisone tablets twice a day. I have another issue with vasovagal syncope and I may have to be put on beta blockers to stabelize my heart rate, but won't find out about that for two weeks. Crystal , I am on 5 mg 2 x day . Not sure what your dosage is . But being you have adrenal tissue in you , it may be a low dose as well . One of my concerns was the meds too and weight gain . But the doc assured me that it would not happen . So far so good . I will keep you in my prayers and if there is ever anything I can do please let me know . Take care of you .. Tink

Crystal ...oh my goodness.......girl!!!!!!!! That's awful but I AM GLAD THEY FOUND OUT WHAT IS WRONG.....the Becoat's will keep you in our prayers!!! I was missing you on here!!! Oh Crystal it is SO good to know that the doctors were able to figure out what as going on! I'm so glad you are doing better now with the medicine. Know that you are in my prayers and will continue to be. Oh to be under 200....still wishing and waiting on that one. You take care of yourself and keep us updated on what's going on with you. Pam
