today i've had an EAS protien shake. a few cashews. an entire meatloaf and mashed potato lean cuisine and one of those snack packs of cheese and crackers. i dont know why i've been sooo hungry. i eat way more than the normal gastric bypass person i think. it's only 4:30

Sarah - I'm always concerned too about the amount I eat at one time. I'm way beyond the 2 oz at a time phase. For lunch I eat 4 oz of tuna w/LF mayo and at dinner I can eat 4 oz of meat, fish or poultry with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vegetables. The nutritionist didn't seem concerned since I keep my calories around 800, am getting in 100 g of protein each day, and most carbs are limited to dairy proteins and vegetables. Are you journaling calories and nutrients? If those are in the right range, you should be fine.

cleo. that sounds good. i wish i could say i get in 100 grams of protien a day!i need to measure and keep track. i'm going to do that because maybe i'm feeling guilty for nothing. thankyou.

I think if you're exercising regularly, you may not be eating enough! I routinely eat 3 small meals a day plus 2 snacks. I get exercise every day, eat about 1000 calories a day and I'm losing steadily. One thing I may suggest though, is less carby foods. It has been my experience that the more carbs I eat, the sooner I get hungry again. Donna

it sounds about right to me............... I guess the only problem would be if you sat down in one sitting and ate the WHOLE frozen dinner in a few minutes...........because I think that could be too much food for your pouch at one time, you know? But im sure you are eating it over awhile.

Sarah: it sounds to me like you are ok too. i always worry about the same thing. when i tried nuts (i've tried, peanuts, almonds, and cashews), even though they are good for us and my nutritionist was ok with small portions of them, they are a trigger "snacky" food for me and I wanted to keep eating them. Another thing to cross off my list. This is why I don't post on the eating thread anymore, I am boring boring boring. (and chicken) maybe if you shoot for more dense protein vs. mashed potatoes and crackers and see if you feel fuller? i dunno just a thought! good luck! judi

I also can eat an entire lean cuisine. And... I also am concerned that it may be too much. However, it fills me up, and the daily calories are where I should be. From what it sounds like here on this forum, that may be normal. People who are June surgeries, what do you think?
