What did you eat today? - 9/11/07 (Filling in for Buffy)

Breakfast: Special K protein plus w/soy milk
Snack: EAS protein drink
Lunch: Turkey cheese stick wrapped in a low carb tortilla w/a dab of fat free catalina dressing.
Snack: 16 Genisoy crisps with about a tablespoon of hummus as a dip
Dinner: 1 piece of meat crust pizza. I did a little editing and got the calories down to 186 per slice and only 8 grams of fat. Changed to 96% lean ground beef, used a cup of fiber one cereal instead of crackers and exchanged canadian bacon for pepperoni. Very nummy!

How did you do?
I'm here. Spent the day at the hospital with my gpa-in-law and it's been a rough day. I just got home. I can't believe I got in as much as I did today, but I threw some stuff in a bag for the trip.
B: 8oz coffee w/ flavored splenda and sf creamer

S: 1 light string cheese
L: 1 Dannon Light & Fit Smoothie
D: White Bean Bison Chili
S: 3 Laughing cow cheese bites

Breakfast: Protein drink, then yogurt later
Snack: Slice of colby/jack cheese
Lunch: Amy's Lentil soup
Snack: Handful of Wasabi peanuts
Dinner: (experimental here) Spaghetti and meatballs. Ate 1.5 meatballs and the 2-3 tablespoons of noodles w/sauce.
No idea how many calories, carbs or fat -- do you guys use a program to calculate, or are you reading lables that closely???
I use Sparkpeople.com to keep track of my food. Pre-op, I found that if I kept a daily total of the calories, fat, etc I could easily stay within my guidelines, but if I didn't journal my food, I tended to eat way more than I should. That is still true post-op. There was one day I didn't log in all my food until the end of the day. When I totalled everything up, I had eaten over 1200 calories for the day! I was like "how the heck did I fit that much!" but it certainly all fit. If you're eating tiny amounts, you might even discover you're not eating enough, which keeps your body in self preservation mode and you stall out on the weight loss. Plus, I'm just anal that way and I like to know how much of everything I'm getting since I've adopted a healthy lifestyle
