okay guys, when I had surgery I said I WOULD NOT be one of these people that complains when they don't feel that they are losing weight fast enough. WRONG!!! I had surgery 6/26/07 and have only lost 32lbs. It doesn't help that I cannot find another soul that has lost weight this slow. What am I doing wrong? Am I destined to fail?

Tell us what you eat and drink, what kind of exercise and how often. Hey you are 32lbs less so that is a good thing!

As far as drinking, I drink around 50-70 oz water daily. This is what I did yesterday B-boiled egg L-white chicken chili (only the chicken) 1/2 cup D-3/4 lasagna S-3/4 cup watermelon I walked for about 30 minutes yesterday. This is pretty much what I do daily or at least pretty close, HELP!!

Shean: I think a lot of the June folks who post a lot are FAST losers. I have been disgusted with myself and the flipping scale this week too. If you lost a lot of weight pre-op, you might be losing slower now too. On my profile I posted an average weight loss thing someone had posted it made me feel a little bit better. As of last Tuesday I was down 40 pounds but then my weight spiked back up (the most it has ever spiked and I am still .6 above last week's low) growl. And I even went for a 21 mile bike ride on Sunday and the scale still went up instead of down! I totally understand your frustration because I am right beside you on the frustrated loser bench! I do think we all lose at our own pace. I have really bumped up my liquids now. Still shooting for 700-800 calories per day and 60g of protein. What are your targets? Keep us posted. You can do this! You will not fail! And neither will I but I may throw out the scale! judi

Thanks Judi, Maybe I should have some specific targets....the only target I really have set is for my fluids....I was sure I was getting enough protein in my meals but, maybe not....I think Im going to try to do protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and see where it goes...bump up the water and excercise also. 21 miles WOW!!!!! that's great. Not too shabby on the 40lbs either...40 just sounds so much better than 32 anyway but, Ill keep truckin until something happens. I keep thinking one day Ill wake up and my body will release 5 lbs at once...but, it's being soooo stubborn I wi**** was this hard to gain weight. Thanks again Judi I need all the help I can get. As of yesterday I am down 36 pounds since surgery. But hit the 50lb mark from the first of the year. And I am lots older than you. So I think like the other have said we all lose at our own rate. Just keep up the good work. I think you are doing great. According to Judi's chart I am right on track... 21 miles on a bike! I am lucky to do 30 minutes at Curves. I envy you girls. Keep your chin up. Alice

Shean You sound like you're doing great! Try upping your protein by adding a shake or two. I have 3 shakes a day. My doc recommended one before bed and I find it makes a big difference. I have that and no snack. Take your measurements too. You may be dropping inches!
