The last couple of days, I have been extremely exhausted and would like to know for those of you doing sublinqual B12, what kind of dose and frequency does your surgeon have you on? I already bought some, but need to know what you all are taking, so I make sure to get enough and not too much. Thanks, Pam

My NUT told me to get the 2500mcg sublinguals. The beauty of B12 is that you can't overdose on it. Your body will excrete whatever it doesn't use. I do one a day at lunch time. Donna

Well, I bough the 2500mcg, so I'm going to start taking it daily. As long as I can't get too much....hopefully it works quickly. Thanks Donna!

I was told 2500 and sublingual as well.... BUT..... only once a week. This is GREAT since I'm taking my flintstones 3x a day and my calcium 1x a day and having to take those 2 hours apart, so I can absorb everything. So I take my B-12 every Sunday .... and it definitely helps.

Thanks Mel! I think I'm going to take it once per day like Donna...especially since I'm feeling so exhausted now. At least to maybe get my levels up.

Pam: how is your iron? being anemic can make you tired too. I read so much about people who aren't absorbing the iron from their pills. judi

I have no idea. I haven't had any bloodwork done since my pre-op appointment. I was never put on iron other than what's in my multi-vitamin that I take 2 a day of. Hmmmm, I'm going to have to call and find out if I should be getting my blood work done. Thanks.

I was told to take 1 2500 mcg. sublingual -once a week. It's the easiest supplement! Walmart has a yummy one, too. It's by Rexall and one tablet per week is it!

I would certainly talk to your surgeon about it. I was told at the beginning, that we don't absorb the B12 from our foods anymore and you will get low if you don't have a supplement. I think it's been too long for me, but it may be my iron too....who knows. Hoping the B12 help.
