Protein Bullet

Have any of you tried the Protein Bullets? They have 42 grams of protein in each 3 oz bullet. My blood work showed I am not getting enough protein. I just can't eat enough food to get 60 grams a day. I supplement with a protein shake, but am still low on some days. I thought the Protein Bullet might be a solution to up that protein level and was hoping someone might have some experience with them. Thanks, Shirley

I have the New Whey 42g protein bullets. I've only drank one of them so far, because as it turns out, I get all the protein I need from what I eat. They were a little syrupy for me, but I've heard people mix them in a 20 oz bottle of orange crystal light and it tastes better. If you turn out to like them, I'll sell you my whole case, minus 1, cheap! I paid 26.50 for the case, so I can't really afford to give em away or I would! Maybe $20? Let me know. That goes for everyone really. If anyone wants them, send me a PM. Donna

I just ordered 3 boxes because I was having trouble getting in my protein. I've only drank 2 of them so far. They are VERY sweet and a heavy syrup. Its all I can do to drink it down. I try to do it in 3 different shot type swallows. I guess it does get the protein in but I would rather get it out of real food if I can. I'll keep them around just for those bad days when I haven't been able to get it down but I don't expect to rely on them all the time.

Hi Buffy... Where did you order your protein bullets from? And did you find a great price? I have tried to get all my protein from what I eat - but like everyone else have some bad days. Having the protein bullets to fall back on might be a good idea.. Thanks Miguel

I received one (grape) in a sample pack and haven't had the nerve to try it. I thought it would be too sweet and syrupy - I also associate grape stuff with childhood popsicles, lollipops and Nehi soda. I plan to give it away at a meeting this weekend.

i've seen so many debates on the board about whether or not they are a "complete" protein. personally, i think some protein is better than no protein so if that is all you can do, do it. i've also seen someone post that they are loaded with the best kind of protein for healing. This person made sure to use them after her plastics. So, the next time you see your Nutritionist you might want to run it by him/her. My dh had the surgery last year. We gave 3 away cause he didn't like them and I decided not to try them. how is that for a bunch of incomplete info! lol judi

I've tried the grape one and hated it. It was way to sweet.

I have 3 boxes of them. I use them because it helps me get in my protein. I tried the Isopure drinks that come in the 20 oz bottles, but they made me nauseous, the protein shots don't taste very good, they are very thick and syrupy. But they are only 3 oz, so I break it up and do 1/2 in the am and 1/2 in the afternoon, I figure 3 oz tasting icky is better than 8 oz which is what my protein shakes were (with less protein - of the 20 oz bottles. I think I got samples from bariatriceating.com - 4 for like 13.00. Good luck.

Hi, I put it in a glass with ice and sip it. It is thick so I like it a little diluted. Get the one that are whey protein. I think that is what we are supposed to have. Good Luck
