i think the verdict is VEGAS!!!
I am totally in, but the hotel i think we should pricelines them closer to june we can stay cheap and as long as we are all on the trip and meet up for a dinner party somewhere then i think we be cool, we need a few of us to start the whole ummm what would you call that the put it together person, CRYSTAL, heheheheh we need to shop online figure out prices and tickets and la de da i am sure most are flying i mean i am in cali but way north so if anyone wants to take a road trip i am up for it, let me know,
Serena i think that is a awesome idea.....we could all go the same weekend plan a nice meeting dinner and like a show or something and then have the rest of the weekend either to visit or do our own thing.......i think that's great!!!!!!i love that idea!!
what do the rest of you think
also at most of the hotels they have spas where you can get pampered pretty inexpensive i just thought i would throw that out
i might be able to check some hotels out and see what kind of deal they could give us if we all know for sure as it closer how many are coming.......they might cut us a deal???????
I've never been to Vegas, and I do know it's like the inside of an oven there, but if that's where everyone wants to meet up, I'll go for it. My husband and I drove to the California coast from Oklahoma in February and made the trip in 24 hours, so I can take a day and drive it.
No idea what hotel to stay at...too bad I don't still work at my old place in Alaska. I was the reservations manager at a resort hotel there, and I could get some sweet deals but I've lost all my contacts
One thing that might keep me home though....are spouses invited? I once made a big ruckus when my husband wanted to go to Vegas without me, back when we first married, so he didn't go. He'd never let me live it down if I went now without him lol.

I think it sounds like a great idea! I cant commit this far out but I will try my best! and have all good intentions about going! I've never been to Vegas so I dont know where to go but I really liked the idea of picking a few days and meeting up... doing some things together and somethings without or whatever !
Great idea thanks for taking the time to start planning!

There is sooooooooooooooo much to do in Vegas, its not just about gambling. There are shows, shopping, sight seeing.... just to mention a few. Most of the hotels are a sight themselves. If ya wanna stay on the strip, there are lots of nice hotels. Some of the more cost efficient ones are New York New York, Bally's, and Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo is an older hotel, but in its prime, it was a luxury and now because its older, its cheaper. It's also smack dab in the middle of the strip. There's also Excalibur, Circus Circus (for those who wanna go really cheap) and the Stratosphere (which is at the far end). If you wanna spend the big bucks... there's the Bellagio, Venetian, Luxor, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay. There's also a Hard Rock, but its just a tad bit off strip. There's also the whole downtown area where the hotels are a little cheaper and the Fremont experience. Just to name a few.
I'm in the group that says Vegas is TOO HOT in June, so I think I'm outta this one. When I'm on vacation... the last thing I wanna do is sit around inside. I wanna be out and seeing everything or atleast being lazy on a beach. Especially now that I've lost weight. You'd be surprised at the climate of the islands and tropics during the summer, most of them only get about 85 or so. Totally different climate. Ummm if anyone ever wants to do a Vegas trip in like...... November or December though, I'm totally there. I was there almost a week and still didn't get to do everything I wanted to do. So, I've got more sights to see.........

Well, unfortunately, I don't think I'll be joining you. Not much into heat and all that, but it's someplace I don't want to bring my kids and since I promised them a vacation next year, I'll have to bring them somewhere else.
Hope you ALL have a GREAT time though! Take lots of pics and make sure you post them!
