i think the verdict is VEGAS!!!

Ok junesters i think that the majority of us think VEGAS would be the place to meet for our 1 year anniversary for our surgery next June.........NOW who is in? and what hotel should we stay at? and how many days? and what week?

Count me in... I am THERE! How bout we do this 2nd or 3rd week of June. I always am big on the hotel with the largest most inexpensive buffet... oh, wait, we can't do that now... I used to stay at the Boardwalk all the time, but I think they dropped that hotel...

Brian sounds great to me..........now which hotel????????? i stayed at the ex calibur or caliber.....it was nice but i am thinking the luxor or another one i was just there in april .......mandilan bay was nice also

Sorry....I am going to sit this one out. I have been to Vegas in June & I refuse to go back. I remember crossing the desert from CA to NV at midnight & there was a big thermometer that read 110 degrees. During the day it was most likely closer to 115. I HATED it. Not fun! When I go away somewhere, I like to relax & Vegas is NOT the place to relax. I truely hope that all who go have a really GREAT time & come home BIG winners... Maybe we can meet somewhere tropical for our 2 year...then I will be in! Amy

well i am not totally against going somewhere tropical.... i went to vegas in april and it was hot but we were inside pretty much all the time and they have air conditioning....and i relaxed....GIRL WHAT DID YOU DO THERE??????? LOL can you imagine though the degrees would be in june somewhere tropical????

Crystal, I was there in 2000 with my mom for a long weekend. I was 26 at the time & we flew from NJ to CA & then drove 5 hrs to Vegas. We arrived around 1am & stayed just outside of the strip. During the day we hung at the casinos & also went to my moms friends house for a BBQ...OUTSIDE!!! I was dying, but they were like its a DRY heat, I was like it's still 115 degrees HOT HOT HOT!!! When I get away, I like to sit by the pool or beach & relax & have someone wait on me. (call me spoiled, who cares :wink Heck, if gamling was all I wanted, I could have gone to Atlantic City right here in NJ!!! I would still LOVE to meet everyone but Vegas is not my 1st pick. Let me know, Amy

I would LOVE to go, but can not commit this far in advance. I am going to the event for patients of my surgeon in Houston in September. I can't see any reason why I couldnt go next June. I think it should just be a long weekend... I have never been either, so can reccomend where to stay. BUT agree it needs to be someplace with AC. Becky
