This happens to me .. and Doc tells me it is because my body thinks I am starving. He told me to up my calorie intake and it will start to melt. Funny thing is.. even tho scale don't show it, I am losing mega inches. Blessings, Valarie

I'm stuck in a stall myself. I've watched the scale go up and down the same pound for over a week. Someone mentioned upping my calories, but I'm already getting in 800 a day. I seriously don't think I could fit anymore, plus all my water. I feel full at each meal, and not hungry at all in between. How do I cram more in there? As a side note, I never thought I'd see the day where I would say that!!! Donna

I've been stalled for a couple of weeks myself. My doc said to reduce my caloric intake by 150 calories so I've switched to 1/2 of a yogurt for breakfast/lunch instead of my usual lunch meat and cheese.

I know how you feel!! I am stuck too. I keep watching the same 2 lbs go off the scale and then come back on. I thought I was alone. I'm glad to see that we are all around the same time and having the same problem. I remember when this happened around 2-3 weeks out too. Good Luck, just keep walking and getting in as much as you can! Beth

During the times that you are stalled, your body is losing inches is what my surgeon says and a lot of others on OH. I was doing the 1 or 2 lbs a week and it was very frustrating, but someone posted that their nutritionist said she should have been getting 650-800 calories a day at 8 weeks out and I upped mine to at leat 650 and it started to move. I only got 500 something yesterday and lost 2 lbs in a day. I was pleased. Measure yourself Serena....you might be surprised if you start tracking that. Your body is catching up with the loss. You're doing a FABULOUS job Serena! Look at you! Pam

It seems we are all having similar problems....so that leads me to believe that it is normal....fingers crossed. I only weigh myself once a week, For the last 2 weeks I have only lost 2.5 lbs each week. Which I realize is better than a kick in the pants, but between weeks 5 and 6 I lost 10 lbs and before that I was losing about 5 lbs a week. I am horribly disappointed to see only 2 lbs gone, when I still have so much to loose. As for the calorie count...I have always read that if your intake is less than 1000 per day you body goes into starvation mode and hangs onto every lb it can. I asked this question of the nutritionist in Mexico, where I had surgery and was told that as long as I am eating the right things ....good nutritious food. (enough protien) then your body wont go into stravation mode. ??? So either Im not getting enough protien or she was wrong and I do need more than 1000 cal per day. I am excercising.... I am eating good....I had an RNY...what else can I do???? Becky
