It's been a while, but I'm back!

Hey everyone! It's been since before my surgery (6/26) since I have posted, but I'm back! I had some complications in recovery, lost a lot of blood and had to have 2 blood transfusions....stayed a few extra days in the hospital too. Amazingly enough, I have not had any complications since then, which is a good thing, my husband got out of the Army and I no longer have benefits! We're living back at home in Florida now with friends and family who are sooooo supportive! I have been trying to catch up and read lots of the posts.... and I posted almost this same thing on the Monday weigh in, but hey, figured I'd post my own and say hello to everyone! So far since June 26th (my surgery date) I have lost 39 pounds! Glad to see you all are doing so well with losing and keeping up with each other! I'll be posting some new pics soon.... the before and afters are so amazing and encouraging!!! ~Crystal S.

Welcome back, Crystal, and back into the civilian world! It's wonderful your family and friends are so supportive now during this time of change for you and your husband. GREAT progress even with the stress of your life changes! Can't wait to see your pics.

I beginning to think hospitals are more dangerous than being at home. Oh well, I am glad you are better, and hope you continue in your recovery. Keep up the great work and tell your husband that we are thankful for his service to our country.

WOW Crystal....so sorry to hear your stay in the hospital was so bad. Very thankful that you are doing so much better now! I hope all continues to go well for you! It's great to have you back. Also, I hope you get benefits back again soon. I know what it's like not to have insurance. Take care of you! Pam
