let's just do a random...."what do you miss most pre surgery?"
I am not allowed bread or meat on my plan wont be able to eat bread for at least another 5-6 weeks.
I know what you mean my mother decided to have family round for dinner the week after my surgery and being on liquids only i could not join in so i fained illness and just sat and talked to people. Was strange but i have found with th lack of eating come my mouth being put to use in other ways and talking peoples heads off
Since I was diabetic before surgery, I did without sugar for the past 6 years and I'm over that now. But I really do miss bread. I found a recipe on here for stuffed french toast that I really wanted to make this morning for hubby and me....until I remembered that french bread is a no-no.
I miss steaks too, but not as much because my husband knows how to grill a fish to taste like a steak...mmmmm!
My last weakness was pasta. And I don't mean the whole wheat stuff I might be able to have later on. I used to make a killer lasagna, and baked ziti, and ravioli, and...well you get the idea. I make my italian grandma's homemade spaghetti sauce, a recipe handed down through the generations. OH MAN do I miss that!
