Birthday dinner
So my birthday is Saturday and DH has offered to take me anywhere I want to go. I think I am going to choose Red Lobster. My other thought was Olive Garden, but that was a favorite pre-op and I don't think there would be as many options for me as there would be at Red Lobster. Anyone else ate there lately? What was good?
My husband and I went to Red Lobster not too long ago. We decided rather than me eat off his plate, I'd get whatever I wanted and he'd get something smaller than normal so that he'd eat what I had left over. I did the "mix and match/create your own" and picked the grilled shrimp and scallops. I also had a few bites of the baked potato and a little bit of my salad. I think I ate about 3 shrimp and one or two of the scallops.
Happy Birthday......... enjoy your dinner.

PS...... I'm still scared to go to OG... its my absolute favorite.
My husband and I went to Red Lobster last weekend, our first real restaurant out since surgery. Ohhh it was sooo good! I ate a very tiny amount of my salad when it came out (lettuce and tomatoes only), and I ordered the baked flounder with steamed veggies. The only thing I would have changed is the veggies. They were too hard and crunchy still, just the way I loved them pre-op but too hard on the pouch now. I should have gone with the mashed potatoes, and will next time!
I had enough leftovers to last me 3 more meals at home lol. I asked them to make sure they left off any butter they might use in cooking, and the flounder was very flaky, moist and tasty. Just make sure you take small bites and chew chew chew!
Funny coincidence, my favorite place pre-op was Olive Garden too, and we were actually headed there before I remembered they mostly do pasta, which I really shouldn't have. So we turned around and headed to Red Lobster 3 blocks away lol.
Have a great time and early Happy Birthday!

ooh I love Red Robin.
I finally ate out last friday at a little taco restaurant. I had a taco (well just the meat!) and I went again yesterday and got a ceviche tostada (which is basically shrimp in lemon with tomatoes/onions - I just ate the shrimp and a couple bites of the shell).
I haven't ventured to any real restaurants but I've been craving sushi like you can't believe, but i'm worried to eat it because I've gotten sick off of fish several times.
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I am excited about going to Red Lobster. Maybe we'll even go to a movie, who knows! Its the first time I haven't planned by birthday all around food. Yea, I know Red Lobster is food, but normally I would go out for breakfast, lunch and dinner and maybe dessert. Its so nice to not having food control my life anymore! Now if those numbers on darn scale would just MOVE!
