I cannot tolerate hamburgers or eggs.

Okay, so I've been reading all of your shopping lists and started to get really depressed because some of you had surgery after me and I feel like I'm still on the 1st week diet... So, yesterday I got really brave and decided to try a tiny tiny bit of a grilled cheese sandwich and guess what - it was sooooooooooooo good and it stayed down. Granted it was like 1/4 of a sandwich, and no crust and the bread was really buttery (got if from our local sandwich shop) but it went down easy and stayed down. Today I tried a bit of oatmeal (not instant) and that stayed down too. Oh Lord, thank you for hearing my prayers. It's not that I want to eat, eat, eat - I just want a bit of normalcy back in my life and I need to find a way to get my protein in. I'm going to try shrimp again tonight - who knows, perhaps that Upper GI (no matter how stinking nasty it was) did something to right the wrongs in my tummy and intestines...??? My son moved back home recently and brought his Showtime Rotissierie (the set it and forget it thingy on tv) and made chicken - - - can you say moist and tender?? It melted in my mouth and stayed down!!! Hallelujiah (uh, spellcheck please..) I'm not ready to try salads but would LOVE to be able to eat tomatoes... Thanks for posting everyone, you are an inspiration to me and everyone that's on the boards... God Bless...
