Okay, so I'm 6 weeks out today, I can't really eat because I throw it up minutes later and I've tried several kinds of protein supplements to no avail. Yesterday, my Dr. had an idea so I'm sharing it with ya'll... Take 1 cup of cool whip thawed- whatever variety you like best; and mix in 1 scoop of protein powder. If you have a favorite flavor, use that - if you're like me and can't tolerate sweets, use ProCel or Any Whey. Mix it well, divide into single servings in freezer safe bowls cover and freeze. It's like having protein ice cream.... yummy Let me know if you try this and how you like it and what variations you've tried.. briggie

WOW - I'm going to try that. I haven't had any trouble with the protein drinks I take, which is good because I'm supposed to get 90-100 g per day and there's no way I can eat enough food and get that! I have some Any Whey that I haven't used since I tried mixing it with tomato soup my first week post-op - yech! Maybe this will put it to good use. I like my ice cream with pie tho. Did your doc come up with any ideas on how to turn powdered protein into pie?

Well, my dr. didn't give me one, but you can try this... try adding your Any Whey powder into your favorite pudding, mix with cool whip (or not) then pour into ready made graham cracker pie crusts, then refrigerate or freeze.... you can get the pie crusts in individual servings, i think there are either 4 or 6 to a pack... you can also substitute s/f jello and add the cool whip and protein powder to that, then pour into crusts and fridge or freeze...
