I've noticed that since my surgery and losing weight that I wake up in pain every day. My back is stiff and so is my neck and lately I've been waking up with headaches. I know part of the problem (headache wise) is that I have not been on any allergy meds since my surgery. I have a sleep number bed which I LOVE, but because I've been losing about a pound a day, I can't seem to find the right settings.. Has anyone else had this problem? I've been thinkiing about going to the chiropractor for some relief - any suggestions on alternative methods for relief??

yeah I have arthritis and it's been really bothering me. sleeping flat on my back at the hospital and not being to sleep on my tummy for a while after surgery has done a number on my back especially without my meds (that i can't take anymore). I've been going to massage therapy. I used to go to the chiropractor but after a while it didn't do anything for me anymore... Michelle

I haven't gone to the crack-o-practor in about a year, but i usually get a massage every couple of weeks or more. One of my best friends is a massasge therapist and i'm her bookkeeper, so it's not as expensive as it could be!

Why no allergy meds? My doc had no problem with me going right on them immediately after surgery.

i've been doing pretty good without them, and since i throw up every time i eat, there's no sense in taking it when it's coming bac up...

I wake up every morning with a back ache. I walk 30 minutes first thing in the morning. That really helps. I have noticed that my posture has improved since surgery. I need to sit up straighter in my chair and can't slouch or my back starts to hurt. Should get betther though.
