Today it's official... I am one month post op today. I had RnY on June 27th and it's been a whole month since surgery. I'm feeling pretty good physically and pretty good about myself. I really am happy that I made this change. I haven't taken any meds since surgery which is awesome. I was on 2 different blood pressure pills and 2 different cholesterol pills, plus I was on meds for acid reflux, arthritis, etc. Since surgery I've been checking my BP everyday and I'm happy to say it's been totally normal. All I take now is about 5 million vitamins... which is fine with me... I am so thankful that I've found the message boards on here... I love to read all of your comments and to see how we're all doing. Thank you everyone! What are you all doing for exercise? I walk almost every morning (approx. 1/2 a mile or more) and I signed up for a cardio belly dancing class at my local rec center (which starts 8/22 for 5 weeks). I want to start doing more, but I'm so tired in the evening when I get home and I have trouble waking up in the morning!

Woo-hoo for you!!!! I've never taken vitamins before either , but it makes me feel virtuous now. Belly dancing??!!! Good for you! Also, you may find that the more you exercise, the more energy you get. I actually sleep better when I exercise. Take care!

Hello I am 4 weeks today. I have lost about 18lbs and I am feeling really great. I still take one of my blood pressure pills. I walk about 1 mile everyday. I will kick that up as times goes by. Shannon

Congrats on being a month out. I went from 8 meds down to 2, and they are now generic. I am saving $170 a month on prescriptions alone. Our grocery bill is reduced, and I feel great. As far as exercize, I joined a small gym, and either walk 2 miles, bike 2.5 - 3 or swim. Next month I start my circuit training with a personal trainer. As they say, "nothing is as good as thin feels." have a great one.

Way to Go Michelle! Getting off those meds is so GREAT! I try and walk a couple of times a day. Every evening I walk 2 miles around the school track. They said I couldn't do any other exercise until I was 6 weeks...that's Monday! YAY!!!!!!!! Pam
