it comes and goes for me too. kind of like Crystal said, it hits around 3pm. some days i've had to go home early and take a 2 hour nap. dh tells me i'm overdoing it, so he is doing the laundry and housework! i can live with that hang in there, your body is still healing. i've had others say it took 6-8 weeks to feel like themselves again. judi

I'm dog tired every day around 2-3pm and I end up taking a nap. Makes me feel old to be taking afternoon naps, but I'm told this is normal and our bodies are still adjusting to the new diet and still mending on the inside. I'm also told it will go away by 3-5 months out. I go back to work on Monday, had to do it only part time for now. Can't be falling asleep at my desk now can I? Hehe! Donna

2 or 3 pm is it for me too, but I can't go home to nap. I do the gym after work and by the time I get home, there's dinner, etc to do. I looked around for someone to take care of the etc, but there's only the cat and all she's good at is dropping fur everywhere! I say if you can slepp "all day in bed", do it. If your supporters offer help, take it. If no one offers, let it go!

Hey Olivia, I asked that same question last week, because I was lying down on a blanket in my office after I ate lunch so I could snooze for just a few minutes, and a lot of people said that they experienced the same issue. Some said walking and doing other exercise helped. I asked my doctor, and she said that since I'm getting enough nutrients, and exercising, perhaps I'm just not getting enough sleep at night. "Maybe you're just tired!" It made me laugh, but I went to bed an hour earlier than usual that night, and felt really good yesterday, so perhaps she's right, and I'm just not getting enough sustained sleep at night. How do you sleep? Do you wake up a lot during the night? I wake up a couple of times usually, once because my dog wants out for a moment to relieve herself (I of course take advantage of the awake moment and do the same), and once or twice because I'm cold and need to cover up some more with a blanket. That extra hour seemed to really help me wake up easier and move into my day, perhaps because it makes up for the breaks in my sleep. I don't know, but that's my experience. Good luck!

I've been really sleepy too. I usually come home from work and take a nap. And I"m having trouble waking up in the morning. I never napped before so it's getting to me too! It makes me feel lazy! Michelle

Anyone can benefit from a B-12 shot! I had one about 3 weeks out and it really helped with the energy level. I heard you can get them about 1x month.

they offer that at my hospital, but only if taking the sublingal B12 isn't sufficient. They'll be testing me for that when I go for my check up.

I'm just a week ahead of you and I have to say that I really do feel better, week by week. However, my head is sure that I have more stamina than my body. I really think it takes a while. I have had two other surgeries and it just takes time. Remember that while we may (or may not) be getting all of our nutrients, we had major surgery and it takes time for our bodies to recover from that. We're still healing. That's why we are on soft diets ... so it doesn't tax our bodies. It will continue to get better. In the meantime, be gentle with yourself and take a nap or go to bed earlier. All the best, Barb
