I just found this board!!!

Hello!!!! Wow, I didn't know they had a board just for people who had there surgery in June 07'. Well it's nice to meet all of you! It's nice to know that most of us are at the same stages in our WL journey. Well here is a little about muah. My name is Ruth. I am 21. I had Open RNY on 6/18/07 and I LOVE my pretty new scar! Ekkkk it is soooo big. But I will have to get used to it right? I also still have my G tube in. That comes ot next week. I cannot wait. Well enough about me. How is everyone doing?

Hey Ruth... Yep I agree with everyone else, it sounds like you're doing good. I am 29 and had lapriscopic RnY on June 27th. How are you doing with weight loss? I've lost about 25 pounds but seem to have hit some sort of a plateau and have stayed the same for the last several days... which sucks... Well good luck to you... keep us posted on your success... michelle

Hi Ruth, you'll love the people here! helpful and friendly just don't say enough about everyone so let me add funny, witty and some are just down right goofy - but i love 'em all!!! I had a Laproscopic RNY June 21st with Dr. Ramsey Dallal in Elkins Park, Pa. I live in New Jersey, South Jersey that is!!!! I am taking my life one day at a time and have found that I like laughing way better than crying - the only drawback is, they both give you really bad headaches if you do either one for too long!!! Anyway - I'm 47, a mother of 4 plus a puppy and have been married 29 years as of April to the same guy!!!!! I've had some bad days, some ok days and some really fantastic days! Lately, the fantastic days have been outnumbering the others and that's a-frickin-ok with me. (sorry, did i mention i was from jersey??? hehehehehe) Well, if you ever need anything, let us know!
